The Bobcat Bulletin
April 11, 2026
A Message from Mrs. Britton
We had a great first week back from spring break, and the beautiful weather made it even better! It has been so nice to see our students back in action and our building full of energy again.
As we continue celebrating Autism Awareness Month, RTM Tops Shop is hosting a quick flash sale this weekend on autism awareness shirts. All proceeds will benefit the Eagles Autism Foundation. This is a meaningful way to support an important cause while showing your Bobcat pride. District-wide, students and staff will be wearing these shirts on April 24th to show our collective support.
We are incredibly proud of our Bobcat Choir, who will be performing the National Anthem at the Phillies game on April 14th. Whether you are joining us at the game or cheering from home, it is sure to be a special moment for our students.
We are also looking forward to our Art Show on April 16th, where our students’ creativity will be on full display. Be sure to stop by and celebrate the amazing work of our young artists.
Field Day is right around the corner, and we are excited to share that there will be a t-shirt swap this year at the art show. In addition, our online PTG Spirit Shop will be launching soon. More information will be coming, but one important update is that the shirts will no longer say “Field Day” or include a year. Instead, they will feature a general ILES design so they can be worn any time.
Tomorrow night at 7:00 PM, I will be sending a yearbook reminder. Please mark your calendars and set your alarms. If you do not receive an email from me at 7:00 PM on April 12th, that means you have NOT already ordered a yearbook.
It is shaping up to be another fantastic week at ILES!
-Michelle Britton

Poem In Your Pocket 2026
We are excited to announce that the 16th Annual Poem in Your Pocket (PIYP) will take place Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 in celebration of National Poetry Month. This community event is organized each April by our teacher-librarians.
PIYP gives students and community members the opportunity to share a short poem at participating local businesses in exchange for a small treat generously provided by those businesses. The event is inclusive and flexible—students choose their own poem, practice it, and decide which businesses they would like to visit.
More details and a list of participating businesses will be available soon.
Poetry Café 2026 Schedule - May 15-22
Mark Your Calendar: You're Invited!
Poetry Café is an opportunity for students to practice important speaking and listening skills in a fun and positive way. Students are also exposed to an appreciation of poetry and creativity. We hope you can make it to our Poetry Café to hear the children read their favorite published poems and/or original poems in our wonderful library. It's a café, so there will be snacks, too. Guests are encouraged to bring poems to share. The kids absolutely love this part! Email Mrs. Hatton at thatton@rtmsd.org with any questions.
