Madison Place Message.....
Parent Newsletter for Madison Place Elementary - March 6
Message from Dr. Stevenson
Hello Everyone,
While it’s hard to believe that we’re already approaching the end of the 3rd quarter of this school year, with warmer temperatures being experienced already and the "Springing Ahead" weekend already here, the end of the third quarter is, indeed, rapidly approaching. This means, it's time to start planning for the 2026-2027 school year.
Part of that process involves creating our class lists for next year, and we would appreciate your help with two key items. First, please let us know if your child(ren) in grades Kindergarten through 4th will NOT be returning for the upcoming school year. Unless we hear otherwise, we’ll assume your child will be with us.
Additionally, we would like to invite you to share any input you may have regarding your child’s class placement for next year. While it’s not required, we will carefully consider any input you provide as we work to ensure the best possible match for each student. To submit your input, simply answer the questions available through this LINK.
Please note that parent input will only be accepted through March 23rd.
Thank you for your continued support throughout this school year. We truly appreciate the encouragement and trust you’ve shown us in working with your children. It is a privilege to be part of their educational journey.
Sincerely,
Gary

NEWS FROM OUR SPECIALISTS
Notes From the Art Room
Hi Madison Place families,
I am excited to announce that Madison Place will be hosting an Artomé Art Show at this year’s Creativity Showcase. The show will take place in the library and will feature one framed piece of art by every Madison Place student. The framed student art will be available for purchase during the show and profits go toward purchasing supplies for art classes. All unpurchased art will be returned to students after the show.
Did you know we now have three business partners who display student art from Maison Place? Unruh Chiropractic and Wellness, Country Club Bank, and new this year, Central Bank of the Midwest. We so appreciate these businesses valuing the arts and providing our talented artists with real world exhibit experiences.
Creativity, fine motor skills, problem solving, critical thinking skills and so much more, we know how important the arts are to prepare students for their future. I am grateful for the opportunity to share art with your children. Have a wonderful Spring Break and don’t forget to save the date for this year’s Creativity Showcase. Wednesday April 22, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM!

PE News from Mr. Toplikar
Madison Place Families,
It has been an awesome year so far, and with Field Day coming up on May 8th, things start getting pretty busy for the PE teacher (that’s me!). Earlier this week you should have received an email about ordering Field Day shirts. The deadline to place an order is March 26th, and the link to order will be included below.
If you or someone in your family would like to volunteer during Field Day, we would love the help! You can sign up using the SignUpGenius link, which will also be listed below.
I also want to say thank you for supporting your child and helping prepare them for PE by sending them to school in appropriate active wear. As a dad myself, I know how easy it can be to overlook things like this on busy mornings, so I truly appreciate the effort.
Lastly, I wanted to talk about an important life skill: tying shoes. Being able to tie shoes is an important step in a child’s independence as they grow. Here at Madison Place, we celebrate this milestone with our Shoe Tie Club, which recognizes Kindergarten and First Grade students who can tie their own shoes.
“Back in my day,” tying your shoes before Kindergarten was a requirement! Times may have changed, but the importance of this skill hasn’t. Currently, about 35% of students are able to tie their shoes by the end of First Grade. Let’s work together to change that! Start the conversation at home, spend a little time practicing, and help us reach a goal of 70% of our students tying their shoes within the next two years.
Thank you for all your continued support—and thanks for not hitting me during dismissal!
