NRESC & The Phoenix

During Pet Week, students brought back the nostalgia of carnival days by creating goldfish bags, adding a fun and creative twist to the celebration! 🐠🎪 The activity was a hit, as everyone got into the spirit of the event with their colorful and imaginative designs.

After reading A Stray Dog, students in Ms. Tracy’s class selected their own dog pet, named it, and created a dog house!

Pi Day is a celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi), which represents the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Pi Day is observed every year on March 14th (3/14), since the first three digits of pi are 3.14.

Students learned about the incredible Katherine Johnson, whose mathematical genius helped NASA put a man on the moon! 🚀 Her work was groundbreaking and inspiring.

Students at the Phoenix Center kicked off their week with fun Dr. Seuss activities in celebration of Read Across America! 📚🎉

Students planted sunflowers to add a splash of color and positivity to their classrooms! 🌻 It’s amazing how a little greenery can brighten up the space and everyone’s day.

Students and staff made the most of the beautiful weather by flying kites, embracing the fun and freedom of the outdoors!

Our program held our March Science Fair on March 20th which celebrated all of the activities students completed during their Science lessons.

ULS Bursting with energy - students are learning about different types of energy. They observed how heat will transfer melt old crayons into new art.

Students learn about energy from the sun. They have planted grass and vegetables to see how the sun's energy helps to grow the food we eat for our own energy.
