Please complete 2023-24 registration as soon as possible

Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now open. Families should use the individualized “SnapCode” they received in the U.S. mail to complete registration as soon as possible. Anyone who has lost their SnapCode will need to prove residency again.

Please call the school office if you know you are moving so student(s) can be removed from the registration system. This helps us with future planning if we know a student has moved.

Summer construction will affect Arbor View Elementary

Construction projects at all five CCSD 89 buildings are scheduled to begin on Friday, May 26, the day after the school year ends.

It’s critical that students clean out their lockers, check the lost-and-found, and bring home medication at the end of this school year. Families will not be able to retrieve items over the summer. Families are encouraged to stay off the school’s playground equipment when construction crews are actively working at the school.

A summary of the 2023 construction is available here: https://bit.ly/41siBbG More information: https://bit.ly/41AOsqE

Art Smart

Thank you to all the students who completed last month’s challenge featuring Arbor View mom and self-taught artist Zainab Akhtar. The students did an amazing job of drawing their favorite places in nature just like Mrs. Akhtar does in her artwork. There were magnificent scenes of mountains, forests, fields of flowers, lakes, playgrounds, beaches, and even volcanoes! We hope the students enjoy their mini beachball participation prize. Below are the winners for April. Congratulations to all the winners!
