Electronic Devices
As a reminder, our no cell phone policy remains in place during the school day (7:25am-2:05pm). This expectation also includes headphones and earbuds.
Headphones and earbuds have no academic use during the day, and if worn, we can only assume they are connected to a cell phone—which is not permitted. In addition, they pose a safety concern, as students may not hear important announcements or directions in the event of an emergency.
We appreciate your continued partnership and support in helping us create a safe, distraction-free learning environment for all Warhawks.

College Visit
Do you have a senior student that is interested in attending Otterbein University? If so, they will have the opportunity to visit Otterbein on Thursday, October 23rd! Space will be limited. If your student is interested in the trip, they can stop by the guidance office to sign up and get a permission form. The permission form is due by October 2nd. Students must be passing classes in order to go on this trip.
ASVAB
The ASVAB is a great tool to give students insight to their skills and potential occupations for their future. Taking the ASVAB is a mandatory test for military enlistment, however you could still take the test if you would like another tool for career exploration. The test is free and will be held:
Date: Tuesday, October 21
Time: 8:00am (Student should arrive no later than 7:45am)
Place: Westerville South High School Library
** Students from Westerville North and Westerville Central are invited but must find their own transportation. Students from WNHS and WCHS must sign in at the Main Office prior to coming to the Library.
Students need to complete the Google form to register for the ASVAB test. The deadline to register is October 15th. See your counselor if you have any questions.

School Clinic
Hello Warhawk Families,
I hope you and your students have had a great start back to the school year! I am happy to have them back in the building and have enjoyed catching up on their summers.
A couple of reminders as we approach the Fall season...
Parents of Seniors
Please make sure to get your student’s Meningitis booster if you have not already done so. If this is already scheduled please reach out to me and let me know when your appointment is. Immunizations can be done at annual well visits, local health departments, or a pharmacy clinic. Ohio School Immunization Requirements
Illness Procedures
If your student is sick and needs to leave school, they are required to come to the clinic and then sign out through attendance. Please keep your child home if they have a fever of 100.1 or higher, are vomiting, have symptoms of pink eye (itchy, watery, redness, pain, drainage), skin rashes/ blisters, or any other symptoms that keep them from fully participating in their school day. Students can return when they are fever free for 24 hours without using medication and symptoms have improved.
Medications
If your child will need daily or as needed/ emergency medications kept at school, or if they self carry any medications, updated documentation is required each school year. All forms and other clinic information and resources can be found on the Health Services page on the district website.
Questions? Reach out anytime!
