School Information
Absences/Attendance - Parents are to report student absences including early outs/late arrivals in their Skyward Family Access via an attendance request. This can be done in the app or on a desktop. Click here to view a how to video When submitting an Early Out or Late Arrival absence request, please be sure to UNSELECT the ‘all day check mark’. This ensures the attendance office knows what time your child will be leaving and/or arriving. Campus attendance email is for submitting documentation, such as a doctors note. Attendance Infographic page 1 and page 2.
Cafeteria Information - Our meal account management platform has transitioned from LunchMoneyNow to PaySchools Central. Parents must create a new PaySchools Central account in order to deposit meal funds. You can find instructions and more information at PaySchools. Meal prices for the school year can be viewed at Food Prices. Students at LCMS must pay for meals or can apply for free or reduced-price meals . Applications and meal status are totally confidential and there is no penalty for applicants who do not qualify. You must apply and re-qualify each year!
Enrollment & Registration - Annual Student Registration for the 2026-27 school year is officially open! This process allows parents to update contact information, provide medical background, review district documents, and more. Annual Student Registration is mandatory for all LCISD students each school year, and must be completed by parents/guardians in order for students to receive schedules and teacher assignments for the upcoming school year. https://www.lcisd.net/page/newenrollment
Outside Food Delivery - Due to security concerns, no outside entity (DoorDash, Pizza delivery, etc.) will not be allowed to drop off lunches for students. Parents/Guardians may bring a lunch for their students. Lunches can be dropped off in the front office in the marked shelving area. Please be sure your student knows they are getting lunch so they can come pick it up in the office.
Parent & Family Engagement Policy & School Compact - Our Parent and Family Engagement Policy - English and Spanish - outlines how school and home work together to support student success. Our School Compact - English and Spanish - outline school, parent, and student responsibilities. We invite you to review our commitments to open communication, shared decision-making, and active family involvement.
Personal Communication Device - Lubbock-Cooper ISD will require all students to leave their personal communication devices at home or power them off and store them away and out of sight while on school property during the school day. Please click here for more information!
Student Handbook - Please use the link here to access the LCISD Student Handbook.
Student iPads - Just as in elementary school, Lubbock-Cooper Middle School and Laura Bush Middle School students will be issued school iPads at the start of the 2026-27 school year. These iPads will remain on-campus and will not be sent home with students. This practice ensures that student iPads are available and fully charged for each school day. Students will not be assigned work that requires use of an iPad without being provided ample time during the school day (when they have iPad access) to complete the work. Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining an innovative, accessible learning environment for our students!
Skyward - Lubbock-Cooper ISD provides parents access to their children's records via our student information system, Skyward Family Access. Skyward Family Access maintains an open line of communication between school and home, and allows parents and students the opportunity to view grades, attendance information, schedules, calendars, and additional information any time of day. Skyward Family Access is available any place with an internet connection. https://www.lcisd.net/page/skyward-family-access
Student Badges - All students must have their badges on them at all times. Badges will be used everyday to include: Bus Riding, Lunch Purchase, Library Checkout, etc.
Transportation - If your child will be riding the bus this year, you MUST email the Transportation Department at transportation@lcisd.net. Student badges will be used to ensure the safety of your students this year. Campuses will be able to know exactly where and when students are dropped off and/or picked up.
