📚✨ CAMS Families, Report Cards Are Coming! ✨📚

It's time to celebrate our students' hard work and progress! 🎉 Second six weeks report cards will be available in the Parent Portal this Thursday! We encourage all families to log in, review their student's academic progress, celebrate their successes, and identify opportunities for continued growth. Thank you for your ongoing partnership as we work together to help every CAMS Knight shine! 💙💛

As we continue working together to maintain a safe, positive, and distraction-free learning environment, we would like to remind all families of our campus dress code and clear backpack expectations.

👕 Dress Code Reminders:

• Tights, leggings, and yoga pants are not permitted as bottoms.

• Off-the-shoulder shirts are not permitted.

• Students should arrive each day dressed in accordance with campus dress code expectations.

🎒 Clear Backpack Requirement:

• All students are required to bring a clear backpack to school each day.

We kindly ask families to take a moment to review these expectations with their students before coming to school.

Please note that tutorials are offered during the school week. Each teacher has provided two opportunities for assistance. Tutorials begin at 7:25am to 7:55am. They are also held at 3:35pm. Please collaborate with your student's teacher to plan time for assistance.

💻💙 Learning Your Way at CAMS! We are proud to offer multiple learning avenues, including our virtual learning platform, to help meet the diverse needs of our students and families. Our virtual Knights are still an important part of the CAMS family and are welcome to participate in student extracurricular activities, campus events, and other opportunities alongside their peers. No matter where learning takes place, we are ONE CAMS family! 💙⚔️✨

📣 We want YOU to be part of the CAMS magic! ✨ Our amazing CAMS PTO will be hosting a meeting this Wednesday at 4:00 PM right here at Cumberland Academy Middle School! Come share your ideas, get involved, and help us continue creating wonderful experiences for our students and teachers! Whether you're a longtime supporter or interested in joining for the first time, ALL are welcome! 🤝💙💛 Together, we can make a BIG difference for our CAMS Knights! 🌟

Every minute of instructional time matters:

• Classes begin promptly at 7:55 a.m.

• Students arriving after 8:05 a.m. are marked tardy and must be signed in through the front office by a parent or guardian, per our Student/Parent Handbook.

• Being on time means being in class, ready to learn, at 7:55

• Any time that a student is absent, please send in documentation to msenrollment@cumberlandacdemy.com within three days of the absence so that it is coded accurately.

📚💙 Every Day Matters at CAMS! Consistent attendance is essential to academic success because every day in the classroom provides valuable instruction, practice, and opportunities for growth. Texas Education Code includes the 90% attendance rule, which generally requires students to attend at least 90% of the days a class is offered to receive credit or a final grade. At CAMS, students who accumulate 9 or more absences per semester may qualify for required summer learning to address missed instructional time. Families, please help us keep our Knights present, engaged, and learning every day—attendance matters! 💙⚔️

Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:15 a.m. each school day using the designated student drop-off and pick-up lane, which circles around the building to the designated unloading area. To ensure the safety and efficiency of our morning arrival, students should not be dropped off at the front office entrance unless prior authorization has been granted by campus administration. We appreciate your partnership in following these procedures to help provide a safe and smooth start to each school day.

As Veterans Day approaches, we are excited to continue our tradition of honoring the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces!

We are putting together our annual Veterans Day Slideshow and would love to include the veterans in your family. If you have a family member who has served or is currently serving, please email the following information to jataylor@cumberlandacademy.com:

• Veteran's Name

• Branch of Service

• Years of Service

• Relationship to Your Student

• Photo of Your Veteran (in uniform if possible)

• Military Awards or Decorations (Optional): Feel free to include any awards, medals, or special recognitions you would like us to highlight. This is completely optional.

If you have submitted your veteran's information in previous years, there is no need to send it again. We will include their information in this year's slideshow.

We would also like to invite all veterans and their families to join us for our 2026 Veterans Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 11, at Cumberland Academy High School!

• 10:00 AM: Veterans Day Program

• 11:00 AM: Luncheon Honoring Our Veterans

This is a special opportunity for our students, staff, and families to come together to recognize and thank those who have sacrificed so much in service to our country.

To help you stay connected and informed, we encourage all families to download the CA Schools App. The app provides quick access to your student's classes, school updates, and important information.

Getting Started:

1. Download the CA Schools app from your device's App Store
2. Open the app and select Continue to Sign In. (If you are a brand new parent - it will not let you log in until after Meet The Teacher)
3. Enter the email address or phone number associated with your student's account.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the login process.
5. Once logged in, you will automatically see the classes assigned to your student.

As long as you have a smartphone, you should be able to access the app with ease. If you have any questions or need assistance with logging in, please don't hesitate to contact us—we're happy to help!
