The Tardy Bell Rings at 7:35 AM

School Hours are from 7:35 AM - 2:50 PM daily

If you have to pick up your child early for an appointment,

we kindly ask that you pick up before 2:00 PM.

Students will not be released after 2:30 PM.

January is School Board Recognition Month

We are honored to celebrate the PfISD trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district’s schools and students. The PfISD School Board serves as a link between the community and classroom; school board members are elected to establish the policies that provide the framework for public schools. Board members serving PfISD are: Ms. Renae Mitchell, President; Mr. Tony Hanson, Vice President; Mr. Brian Allen, Secretary; Mr. David Aguirre; Ms. Cindy Gee; Ms. Jean Mayer; and, Ms. Vernagene Mott.

Attendance - Students MUST Attend School

Please make sure your child comes to school every day possible. Students must attend 90% of the school year or they are in danger of being retained. Some students are chronically absent - this means that they are missing one day or more each week. It is understandable when students have Covid-related absences or the student is truly ill; however, some students have excessive absences. The teachers and I will be scheduling meetings in January with parents of students who have had excessive absences and are at-risk of not attending 90% of the school year. Please send notes after each absence and let us know if there is anything the office can do to help the student attend regularly.

COVID Vaccinations are Here!!!

Thank you for attending the first round of COVID vaccination clinics offered in PfISD. Please visit the link above for the next round of dates.

Vaccines are now available to persons ages 5 and up. PfISD has partnered with Austin Public Health and Travis County to provide vaccinations to our students at multiple locations across the district. Any staff member, eligible PfISD student, and members of staff and students' families are welcome to come and get vaccinated.

All school clinics will be available from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
