Our Warriors absolutely rocked the last week of the term! The Spirit Bowl was a blast and showed just how much pride our students have in West Point Junior High. Huge shoutout to our 8th graders for taking home the victory for 1st Term! Remember — participation and showing up earn your grade those crucial points, so bring your energy to the next one if you want your grade to win!

Our Band also represented WPJH proudly at the Syracuse Band Bash — congratulations to all our talented musicians! We love seeing your hard work and passion shine.

Get ready to grab your boots and kick up some fun at our Night on the Farm: Harvest Dance!

Join us on October 24th from 6:30–8:00 PM on the West Point Jr. High basketball courts (outside) for an unforgettable night under the fall sky!

Dress like a Farmer Contest:
Show off your best farm-fit — overalls, flannels, boots, or straw hats — and you could win Warrior Swag and a King-Sized Candy Bar!

Snacks & Fun:
We’ll have popcorn and Hot Chocolate, music, and plenty of good vibes to celebrate the season.

Hey Warrior Community!

It’s that time of year again — our annual Warriors Are Wonderful fundraiser is here! Over the past five years, West Point Junior High has raised and donated more than $38,000 to local charities, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community. This year, we’re setting our sights on a new goal — $15,000 — to support two amazing causes that directly impact local families:

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP)

A national organization that builds and delivers beds to children who don’t have one. Every donation helps make sure no child sleeps on the floor. Learn more

Warrior Haven

Our very own Family Connection Center here at WPJH! Warrior Haven provides students experiencing homelessness or hardship with bedding, clothing, snacks, hygiene products, and family resources. More info

Monetary Donations: Click here to donate

In-Kind Donations: Gift cards, merchandise, coupons, or Sleep in Heavenly Peace items (twin sheet sets, comforters, pillows, wood, or tools). These items also serve as incentives for students who serve and give during the fundraiser!

Donations can be mailed to West Point Junior High or given directly to a visiting representative.

WPJH MLK Jr. Speech Contest – Sign Up Now!

Think you’ve got a powerful voice? Love to inspire others? Here’s your chance to shine on stage and try out to represent West Point Junior High in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest!

What You’ll Do:

Choose any portion or excerpt from one of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s speeches and make it your own! You’ll perform your speech from memory—between 1 and 3 minutes long—in front of our judges.

Languages Welcome:

You can deliver your speech in any language! Just start with your excerpt in English first, then continue in your chosen language. (Remember, your total time must stay between 1–3 minutes.)

Important Details:

One contestant per category per school (we will only have one winner from WPJH move on)

Speech must be memorized

Bring 5 printed copy of your speech in English for the judges

Upcoming Games

Our West Point Boy Basketball is doing amazing, come support them in their games this week.

Tuesday October 21: Our West Point Warriors will have an AWAY game and take on Shoreline Junior High. Come support them and wear Black.
Thursday October 23: Our West Point Warriors will have a HOME game against Legacy Junior High. Come support and wear PINK!

For home games, students are welcome to watch, but must remain in the gym. Our student government will provide face paint and join our cheerleaders in bringing Warrior pride to the games. Come sit in the student section and support our team! Go Warriors!
