So many great things happening in our Elementary. If you haven't seen our morning zooms you are missing out. Such positivity being shared! We've heard so many compliments from our sweet lunch ladies about the manners being observed in the lunch line. Students are encouraging one another, befriending one another, and taking pride in the successes of their peers. Staff have been on the look out the entire month for those displaying responsible back to school behaviors and we look forward to acknowledging our responsible students at the end of September. If you want to share responsible behaviors observed at home, please email or message Ms. Dana or I so we can share on the zoom.

Name Plates: Please place your child's name plate in your window or on your visor for our afternoon pick up process to be more efficient.

End of day transportation changes- We are still having a large number of daily transportation changes. I strongly encourage you to minimize these changes if at all possible. We simply want to ensure every child has a strong routine and we get them where they need to be safely.

Breakfast-If you are dropping off your kiddos off in the morning and they are eating breakfast please shoot for an earlier drop off time (doors open at 7:25). Our tardy bell rings at 7:45. We begin our morning zoom promptly at this time and then the day begins in full go mode.

Parents As Teachers- We are excited to inform you that our Parent's as Teachers parent educator is officially a Smithton Tiger and will be able to expand our PAT program to reach more families. If you have children in the home birth to kindergarten please reach out to our elementary office or email rehmerm@smithton.k12.mo.us to take advantage of this incredible foundational program.

Grandparent's Day is right around the corner. Friday, October 9th will be here before we know it. We will have two shifts. Kindergarten through 2nd grade will be from 12:30-1:30. The second shift will be from 1:30-2:30 for grades 3rd-6th. Please RSVP so we have an accurate count on attendees. If a grandparent is available or an option please feel free to sign up a parent or other special adult to attend.

If you are free we would sure appreciate your attendance.

Our make up picture day will be held on a day other than Friday to accommodate our three year old preschool students. That date will be shot out once it is confirmed.
