Fair 625 Fair 625

This year, West Chicago District 33 will be partnering with FAIR625 to hold its first All

Abilities Fair on November 30th-December 9th. FAIR625 is a program that helps to foster

Acceptance, Inclusion, and Respect through an immersive education program. The day

will highlight both the strengths and differences that our students possess, and how they

all can enrich our community.

Through children’s literature, the All Abilities Fair, and classroom discussion, we will offer

our students' time to reflect on their experience of the world and how this

may vary from others' experiences. Thinking of the many ways people are

different, whether classmates, people in our communities, or even celebrities, can help

to foster acceptance.

This year at the fair, the students will engage in hands-on activities to learn more about

fine motor challenges, visual impairments, learning differences, emotional regulation, and sensory processing. This day will serve as a pilot in hopes of hosting an All Abilities

Fair annually at all (enter school district name here) schools.

We are excited for this opportunity and look forward to supporting all our students!

As part of this opportunity, we are promoting this event by selling Choose to Include t-shirts to support Inclusion within our schools. Staff and students who decide to purchase a shirt can wear it on the day that their school has the fair.

MySchool Bucks Account Information MySchool Bucks Account Information

School fees will be paid through a new system called MySchool Bucks. Please take a moment to set up your MySchool Bucks parent account. The account will be connected to your PowerSchool parent account for easy access in the future. You must be in the internet version of the PowerSchool parent portal to set up your MySchool Bucks account. Please follow these instructions. Reach out to your building secretary for help if needed. School fee invoices have been sent out.

Attendance Reminders Attendance Reminders

Regular attendance helps children build strong routines, stay connected to their teachers and classmates, and keep up with learning. Even missing a day here and there or arriving late can add up, making it harder for students to keep pace with classroom learning. Check out this video by our Leman Chargers to learn more about excused and unexcused absences. If your child is too sick to attend school or will be absent for another reason, parents must call the school office to notify them of the absence and provide an explanation. In the coming weeks, parents will begin to receive calls, texts, and emails from their school each time their child has an unexcused absence.

If you have any questions about D33 attendance policies, please review the Parent Student Handbook or contact Sarah Norton at nortons@wego33.org. Thanks for your partnership in getting our students to school, on time, every day!
