Final week of the 2023-24 School Year!
The summit is in sight
This is the FINAL week of school is upon us and we have a busy week in the Tiger Den celebrating accomplishments with awards ceremonies and PreK graduation this week. See the flyer for specific grade-level award ceremonies days/times this week.
Our students in grades 3-5 received their EOG scores last Friday. Tomorrow (Monday), students will receive a letter with more information about their EOG scores and about our Summer Remediation & Retesting program which runs from Friday, June 14th to Wednesday, June 19th. Some of our students missed proficiency by only a few points and will be working on missed concepts this week. While the Summer Remediation & Retesting program is primarily focused on students who only missed proficiency by up to 8 points, any student (by parent request) may participate in the REQUIRED remediation session on Friday, June 14th, AND the respective retesting on either Monday (6/17 - Gr 4/5 Reading EOG), Tuesday (6/18 - Math EOG), or Wednesday (6/19 - Gr5 Science EOG). This week, we also have the Grade 3 Read-to-Achieve (RtA) assessment for select 3rd graders, as a second chance to demonstrate reading proficiency.
This is the FINAL chance for students to turn in ALL of the following media materials, including laptops. Students and staff laptops will be collected for the summer so that the school and district can complete a detailed inventory and repair of devices in preparation for the 2024-25 school year.
- library books,
- laptops
- chargers, and
- Kajeets (wireless connection devices).
I am thankful to the students, families, and staff who work collaboratively to help our students grow and succeed. Please continue to encourage your children to read at least 20 minutes each night throughout the summer to foster a love for reading and to prevent summer learning loss. It truly takes a village and Tigers will CLIMB together. Let's have an amazing final week focusing on academics and PAWsitive behaviors.
