PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Happy Friday everyone!

The upcoming weekend looks like it is going to be nice. Hopefully people can get out and enjoy it. The early morning frost has arrived, which means cold days are upon us. Don’t forget to make sure your students leave the house ready to enjoy some time outside during breaks and recess. More importantly, waiting at the bus stop can get chilly. We are not able to supervise students on the school grounds until 8:15, when arrival starts. This is an important reminder for two reasons. They are not being supervised and they will be outside in both cold and rainy weather if they arrive before 8:15.

If you have ordered pictures, they will be sent home with your student once they arrive. We do not have an estimated arrival time for photos as of yet. If you have not ordered photos, a proof will be sent home with your student. The proof will contain ordering directions. Additionally, parents can contact Soggy Dog Designs directly to place orders if desired. Email: theteam@soggydogdesigns.com or stop by the store: 192 Front St, Bath.

Finally, I just want to give a shout out to the students! Both the canned pasta food drive and the mock election activities are off to great starts. The cans are beginning to pile up, election posters are creative and the speeches have been impressive.

Internet Safety Night

Date: Monday, November 4th

Time: 6:00-7:00pm

Location: Montgomery Auditorium, Morse High School/Bath Tech

RSU1 and the Sagadahoc Sheriff's Office have partnered together to invite parents, guardians, and caregivers to an Internet Safety Night. Come learn how to talk to students about what they see on the internet, as well as ways they can avoid being victimized on the internet. The Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office, a local affiliate of Maine State Police Computer Crimes, has been working with RSU1 to share internet safety presentations to its students. These presentations cover privacy and security on the internet, good citizenship, and social media use. This new presentation is designed for adults trying to guide and safeguard their students online.

Bake Your Way to Victory! Project Graduation Bake Sale Competition

Get ready for a sweet showdown! This Election Day, November 5th, Project Graduation is hosting a bake sale competition across our five communities: Bath, Woolwich, Georgetown, Phippsburg, and West Bath.

Which community will take the cake (or cookie, or brownie...)?

Join us at your local polling place and help your town raise the most funds for the Morse High School Class of 2025 Project Graduation!

What is Project Graduation?

For 40 years, Maine communities have organized Project Graduation, a spectacular, safe, and substance-free celebration for graduating seniors. It's a night filled with fun, friendship, and lasting memories.

How can you help?

Donate: Visit our bake sale tables at the polling places. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference!

Bake: Whip up your favorite treats and donate them to keep our tables stocked with goodies.

Volunteer: Spend some time at a bake sale table and help us raise funds.

Sign up to bake or volunteer: http://tinyurl.com/PG25bakesale

Can't make it to a bake sale? You can still support Project Graduation with a donation! We are a nonprofit organization.

Send your check to: The RSU1 Education Foundation, 826 Shipbuilder Way, Bath, ME 04530, Attn: Project Graduation 25

Let's make this Election Day a sweet success for our graduating seniors!
