A note from Mrs Tidd.... A note from Mrs Tidd....

This morning was Falcon Family Friday and Perry Meridian High School students were here to greet students and parents in the car line and off the buses. There were high fives and fist bumps in abundance and smiles (along with some questioning and weird looks) filled our hallways. It was a great way to start off our morning and we are so thankful to be part of the family in Perry Township. We would invite them every Friday if we could, ok, maybe not EVERY Friday.

This week the office made the rounds to target bullying in third grade. The major focus is the difference between rude and mean behavior. Rude behavior is accidental and mean behavior is when we do something on purpose. Many of our students do something mean and then try to say it was an accident because they saw it was hurtful to someone. We are trying to teach our kids that when we say mean things it is always intentional - our words are not accidental. We may be sorry for what we said or did, but it wasn’t an accident. This idea of trying to be kind and intentional lays the foundation for us to have a bully free school and we have to start with our young students!

As always, thank you for sharing your students with us and have a wonderful weekend!
