🚦 Safety First
When driving on campus, please keep these safety reminders in mind:
Do NOT pass buses, vans, or other vehicles
-
Drive slowly and watch carefully for students and outdoor classes
We know life is busy and schedules are tight, but taking an extra moment helps keep everyone safe on campus.
Pick-Up Patrol
Attendance & Dismissal Updates: No more phone calls, paper notes, or emails!
Now that the school year is underway, we’d like to remind families that PickUp Patrol is the program we use to share important daily information. Parents should use PickUp Patrol to report:
-
Absences
-
Late arrivals
-
Any changes to dismissal plans
Using this program ensures that the school office, your child’s teacher, the health office, and the dismissal team all have the same, up-to-date information each day. Families can access PickUp Patrol through the mobile app or the website dashboard.

Lunch & Recess Considerations for Early Pick-Ups
Early Dismissals & Scheduling Reminder
If you need to dismiss your child early, please keep in mind that lunch and recess times may affect how smoothly we are able to bring your student to the office. Planning pick-ups outside of those times whenever possible helps ensure a smoother transition.
Below is a list of lunch times to help with planning and not that recess generally follows lunch:
-
Kindergarten: 11:30 - 11:55
-
Grade 1: 11:15 - 11:45
-
Grade 2: 11:45 - 12:15
-
Grade 3: 12:00 - 12:25
-
Grade 4: 12:15 - 12:40
Grade 5: 12:30 - 12:55

Bus Resolution Form
If you should have questions or concerns regarding the location of your child’s stop, please follow the School Bus Resolution Protocol.
Forgot Something?
No worries!
To minimize classroom disruptions, we've implemented a process for forgotten items:
- A cart will be located outside the MRE office door. Please leave the item(s) on the cart.
- Items must have your child's name clearly marked (note cards are available)
- Classroom teachers will receive email notifications about dropped-off items and students will have the opportunity to pick them up at a natural break time in the day
Great practice for students in flexibility and responsibility
Here are a few common examples:
- Forgot water bottle? Water is available for all students
- Library books can be swapped out another time. Students will have the opportunity to preview books like they usually would, they just turn it back in at the end of library
- Homework? Can be brought in the next day
Thank you for supporting our students' learning and adaptability as well as keeping classroom disruptions to a minimum.
