Congratulations to Jake Collett, our 2025 Emperor Of The Taj!!! Our Emperor Of The Taj candidates set a new, unprecedented record in fundraising this year. They raised over $43, 000 for the Catoosa Children's Fund which provides funds and resources to students in Catoosa County. Each year, our Emperor Candidates along with their faculty sponsors (and parents 😉) compete against each other to see who can raise the most amount of money. The candidate that raises the most amount of money is crowned the Emperor. All of our candidates worked tirelessly during the week of homecoming to support a great cause. Our school and our community are incredibly proud of their selfless efforts to support children in need. These boys embody the best of HHS (Honor yourself and others, Honor the school, & Seek excellence) in every way. Go Generals!!!

Cafeteria Balances Are Already On The Rise

HHS Parents: Our cafeteria balances have already exceeded $2000 in the first month of school. Our cafeteria bookkeeper is working to contact parents of students who have a balance and reminding them each day in the lunch line as they get their food. Notices are being given out to students in 1st Block each week. If you feel your child might qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch, please scroll down and fill out the Free/Reduced Lunch Application. If you qualified last year and you are receiving these notices, please call the school and ask to speak to the Cafeteria Bookkeeper. Our goal is to communicate with our parents to avoid the large balances we encountered last year. Previous years' unpaid cafeteria balances must be paid in full or students cannot receive their diploma at graduation. Thank you for your help with this matter.

Free & Reduced Lunch Forms Available Now

HHS Parents/Guardians: Please use the following link to fill out the Free & Reduced Lunch Forms. https://secure.ezmealapp.com/ApplicationScreen.aspx The process can be done digitally and only takes a few minutes to complete. We ended the year with over $11,000 in cafeteria charges. Some of our families would have qualified and benefitted from the assistance, but they didn't fill out the form. Please take the time to fill it out even if you think you don't qualify. We want to make sure our families have all the support they need for a successful school year.

Senior Pictures By Lifetouch

Lifetouch will be at Heritage High School to take senior pictures on November 10th, 14th, and December 1st.

On November 10th and 14th, Lifetouch will offer a variety of photo options, including a single formal "Yearbook-Only" photo, free of charge. All December 1st photography sessions will consist only of "Yearbook-Only" photos; no other photo options will be provided on December 1st.

More information about signing up for a session, cost, and what is included in each package will be sent out closer to the dates.

Lifetouch will automatically provide all senior photos to the yearbook staff, as will Beasley Photography, but if students have their photos taken by anyone else, they will need to be submitted to the "Senior Pictures" assignment on Google Classroom. All senior pictures are due by the end of December.

Picture Retakes

JostensPix will be at Heritage again on Friday, October 3rd, for picture retakes. Photos from our first Picture Day are now available on the JostensPix website. See the attached flyer for more information.

School Safety Is A Priority

Parents, please help your students understand the importance of being aware of their surroundings. Please encourage your child to say something if they see or hear something that sounds un-safe or potentially dangerous. A courageous student willing to report something suspicious can make all the difference. This is something they should practice inside and outside of school to ensure their safety.

User uploaded image

Everyone Is Responsible For School Safety

Students who see or hear something suspicious have many options when it comes to reporting what they see. Make sure they know they can report to an administrator, a teacher, a school counselor, or an adult they trust. They can also text hello to 741-741. Leaders cannot act on information they don't have so please encourage your student report what they see and hear if it is suspicious or dangerous. We're better together!
