Illinois 5Essentials Survey
Completion rates as of Friday, 3.28.25:
- Students: 99%
- Families: 19%
- Staff: 87%
We encourage all parents and guardians to take the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The survey is available through March 28, 2025. The results will provide us with important information to help drive improvement at our school. Our goal is to have at least 50% of all families complete the survey. Go to https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/survey/parent/
Thank you for your support.
Final Day is 3.28.25
As indicated by the completion rates mentioned above, we need your assistance. While the majority of students (99%) and staff (87%) have completed the 5Essentials Survey, only 19% of parents have participated so far.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could take 10-15 minutes today to complete the survey before it closes on March 28. Please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/survey/parent/ to get started. If you need internet access, feel free to stop by our office, and we’ll be glad to help you access the survey. Thank you for your input and support!

CONGRATULATIONS!
High Honor Roll & Perfect Attendance Breakfast
Parent/Teacher Conferences and Report Cards
Thank you to all the parents who visited us on Friday, 3.21.25, during Parent/Teacher conferences. If you were unable to visit us during conferences, the student reports will be sent home with your student this month. Also, the Trimester 2 Report Cards have been published to the Parent Portals on Aspen. We invite you to reach out to your student's teachers with any questions, and they are happy to respond to or meet with you as needed.
ISA Science Test
Prior to spring break, all students completed the IAR tests for reading and math. The students did a fantastic job, and we can't wait to see the scores in the fall when we receive them.
This week our 8th grade students will take the Illinois Science Assessments (ISA) on 4/1, 4/2, and 4/3. Below is the building schedule for those three days. To do their best on the test, 8th grade students should do the following this week:
- Fully charge their Chromebook (overnight)
- Ensure they get a good night's sleep (around 8 hours)
- Arrive at school on time (between 7:30 and 7:45)
- Enjoy a healthy breakfast
- Encourage them to do their best on the test!
With your support, we are confident that our students will excel and demonstrate how much they have learned this year.
Schedule for 4/1, 4/2, & 4/3
Do Your Best, On The Test!
2025-2026 Registration Opens
Online student registration begins the first week of April. For more information, please go to:
All returning students must be registered by June 6, 2025.
Autism Awareness 5K Run/Walk
Come out and support our District’s 10th annual Autism Awareness 5K Run/Walk on April 26, 2025 at Joliet Junior College. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. by the Event Center. A limited number of T-shirts will be available to purchase for $25.00 at the event.
Attendance Matters!
Plan family vacations and doctor appointments on school holidays. Try not to schedule vacations and appointments on days when school is in session. Remember, even missing one or two days of school a month can add up quickly and cause your child to fall behind on the lessons being taught in class.
Technology Information for Eighth Grade Students
- 8th Grade Technology Accounts will be disabled on Friday, June 13, 2025.
- 8th Grade Students are encouraged to use Google Takeout to save files to a personal account before Friday, June 13, 2025.
- During the week of June 16, 2025, the District will begin releasing 8th grade graduate Chromebooks from our management system.
