A lot of great building improvements happened this summer! Hallways received a fresh coat of paint, building signage was upgraded, every classroom has a bulletin board in the hallway to capture great student work and learning, Mr. Smith got crafty with his Cricut to create teacher signs that are visible down the hallways, the main building doors are now the perfect Tiger green, and our shelter was completed!!!

We are working to get all car riders in the building by 8:55 AM to ensure students make it to their classroom by 9:00 AM and are not marked absent/tardy. In order to accomplish this goal, we are making some adjustments and need your help.

• Doors will open between 8:35-8:38 AM for car riders.
• If your car rider is a breakfast student, please arrive by 8:40 AM to allocate time for him/her to be able to eat breakfast and get to class by 9:00 AM for attendance and the start of instruction.
• Once you have made your way to the drop-off zone, your child may exit the car. He/she does not need to wait for an adult to open the car door as long as cars have stopped.

Breakfast is offered at TCES every morning from 8:40-8:55 AM. Students must be in their classrooms by 9:00 AM for attendance. If your child is a car rider, please plan accordingly to ensure your child has time to eat breakfast if they plan to do so. Thanks for your help!

We will be hosting an after school open house style Grandparents Day Event on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4:30-6:00 PM.

Timing for the event is tricky! Normal school dismissal procedures will still be in implementation until 4:15 PM. Please try to avoid the area until after that time to ensure buses are in route, car rider line has cleared, and parking spots are available. We are also trying our best to ensure our FTA students, families, and volunteers are able to make it to their evening events.

Events of the Evening:

• Craft Picture Frame- Tables will be set up in front hallway and within the cafeteria for grandparents and grandchildren to put together a picture frame craft.
• Refreshments- PTO will be providing refreshments in the cafeteria for families to enjoy.
• Photo Station- Grandparents and grandchildren will have the opportunity to pose and say cheese for a photo to capture the event.
• Building Tour- Grandchildren can take their grandparents on a tour of the building. Classrooms will not be open and teachers are not required to attend, however, pictures of the classrooms will be displayed on classroom doors for students to talk about all the things within their classroom.

These few opportunities for professional development for staff are so meaningful and beneficial for the growth of our school and the support for all of our students!

Texas Roadhouse Rolls Sale going on now!

Be sure to ask family and friends if they would like yummy rolls, butter, gift cards, or donations!!

Rolls are $8 a dozen this year. Due to the rising cost of pretty much everything, Texas Roadhouse has increased the cost of a dozen rolls, but butter has remained the same at $2/pint. Gift cards are available for $25. **Donations accepted big or small and go towards your child’s sales!!

• Any K-4 student who participates in selling will get to attend a Rock ‘n Roll party during school hours!

• Any preschool student who participates in selling will get a PJ day!

Top Seller will win a Nintendo Switch, 2nd place will win a hover Board, plus more prizes.

Order forms are due Thursday, September 15th.

Roll pick-up will be Tuesday, November 8th from 4:30-6:30 using the car rider line. If you are picking up a car rider, just hang out a bit before getting back in line. All car riders must be picked up before we can start roll pick-up.

Magic Show Fun

September 17th. Young men of TCES and their Mom(s) or other special role model come enjoy an evening watching a fun magic show with ice cream bar! $20 per couple, $5 each additional son.

Due to limited seating, only 150 per show. First come, first serve.

Urban Air Spirit Night

November 22, 2021 from 4-8. Purchase the Ultimate Access pass for a discounted $23.99. Just mention you are there for Triton Spirit Night. Does not include socks. Bring a pair or a new pair is $2.50. PTO receives 20% of the proceeds. This is a great, family fun event!

PTO Meeting Dates

PTO Meeting dates the second Wednesday of each month: September 14th, October 12th, November 9th, December 14th, January 11th, February 8th, March 8th, April 12th, and May 10th.

Meetings will be held in person in the library at 4:30 and online via Zoom.
