FAFSA and Financial Aid Events and Webinars
February is FINANCIAL AID AWARENESS month!
As part of Financial Aid Awareness month, NCSEAA and CFNC bring you FAFSA February’s How to Pay for College webinar series. Students and their families are often confused about how to bridge the gap between family funds, financial aid and the total cost of paying for college. Funding a college education shouldn’t be a mystery. Having a better understanding of the funding landscape can help families build a sound plan so students can focus on their studies.
How to Pay for College | Understanding Financial Aid | Mon. February 3, 6pm-7pm
Funding for college can come from a variety of different sources. In this session, we’ll give an overview of the main ways to pay for college, including financial aid and share examples of places students can look for gap funding.
Presenter: Neftali Cabrales- Vick, NCSEAA Manager of College Access and FAFSA Outreach

Evaluating Financial Aid Offer Letters | Mon. February 24, 6pm-10pm
The cost of going to a private college can be very different from going to a public college or university so it can be hard to compare the financial aid award offers you receive from each institution. In this session, we will help you understand the financial aid award packages you received so you can make the best choice for your education goals.
