Welcome Back, Riverside Pirate Families!

Greetings, Pirate Families!

We are excited to continue welcoming our students back for the 2026–2027 school year! Thank you for your patience and partnership as we have worked through the scheduling process. We are pleased to share that student schedules are now live!

View Your Student’s Schedule

Students and families can now view schedules in Infinite Campus. To access your schedule:

Log in to Infinite Campus , Click “Attendance” , View your current schedule.

Please remember that schedules are live and real-time. As we continue to balance classes and adjust, schedules may change. We encourage students and families to check Infinite Campus regularly for the most current information.

Schedule Drop/Add Process

Students who need to request a schedule change should follow the Riverside High School Drop/Add process below. Schedule changes are not guaranteed and must be based on course availability, graduation requirements, and other scheduling considerations.

Please do not request a schedule change simply because you prefer a different teacher, lunch period, or class period. We will prioritize requests that are necessary to ensure students are appropriately placed and on track for graduation.

Thank you for your patience as we begin the school year. Our goal is to ensure that every Pirate has a schedule that supports their academic success, career goals, and pathway to graduation.

We are excited about the year ahead and look forward to partnering with you to make 2026–2027 an exceptional year at Riverside!

Every Classroom. Every Student. Every Day.

Summer Bridge/Freshman Orientation

Riverside High School is excited to welcome our incoming freshmen to the 2026 Summer Bridge Program! This free program will be held on Thursday, August 13, and Friday, August 14, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Parents and guardians are invited to join us on Thursday during the first hour for a special parent information session. This presentation will provide valuable information about high school expectations, graduation requirements, academic opportunities, and resources available to help students and families have a successful transition to Riverside High School.

The Summer Bridge Program is designed to help students make a smooth and successful transition into high school. Throughout the two-day program, students will experience what life at Riverside High School is like by participating in engaging, hands-on learning activities in English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and elective courses. Students will also:

  • Learn about high school graduation requirements and strategies for staying on track to graduate.
  • Explore Riverside's many academic pathways and opportunities for success, including the Career and Technical Education pathways, student clubs, the National Honor Society, athletics, and other extracurricular activities.
  • Tour the school and become familiar with classrooms, important locations, and campus resources.
  • Meet teachers, counselors, administrators, and other members of the Riverside High School community.
  • Participate in classroom activities that introduce high school expectations, organization skills, study strategies, and academic success habits. Learn how to use Canvas, Riverside High School's online learning management system.
  • Connect with upperclassmen who will share their experiences, answer questions, and offer advice about succeeding in high school.
  • Build new friendships through fun team-building activities designed to develop confidence, communication, and a sense of belonging.

A light snack will be provided each day. Transportation and lunch will not be provided.

The Riverside High School Summer Bridge Program is completely free and provides an excellent opportunity for rising ninth-grade students to become familiar with their new school, build confidence, make new friends, and start the school year prepared for success.

We encourage all incoming freshmen and their families to take advantage of this exciting opportunity. Additional information and the registration link can be found here:

Schedules Go Live

On Monday, August 10th, the Riverside High School Counseling Department will begin receiving requests for schedule adjustments using the RHS Drop/ Add Form SY 2026/ 2027. This information will also be posted on the RHS website in the 2026/27 Drop/Add Resource Guide. Due to the limited possibilities for movement between classes, students and parents are strongly encouraged to use the Google form rather than waiting to meet in person when school opens. Counselors will not be available to meet in person, but will communicate via email, phone, and, on a limited basis, Teams, but before school begins, we want to ensure that our students have the courses they need to graduate high school.

ALL schedule change requests must be submitted by August 28th at 4:15pm and MUST be submitted using the official Google form.

Schedule Changes will ONLY be Considered for the Following Reasons:

1. Seniors in need of a course required for graduation

2. Credit for a course on the schedule has already been earned

3. Course is out of sequence (e.g., Spanish II before Spanish I)

4. Student is missing a course/ has an incomplete schedule

5. Students have an unbalanced course load (all core classes or all electives in a semester)

6. Student would like to take an advanced class (ex. Scheduled for Standard English II but would like to take English II Honors)

7. Students need a schedule adjustment to accommodate Durham Tech courses

Seniors requesting independent study, late arrival, early release, or early graduation should complete the appropriate Google form or document (see below) by Friday, August 21st. Those forms are linked below and can also be found on the RHS website.
