๐ Our Walnut Grove Story
Together We Champion!
Walnut Grove Family,
I am beyond proud to share some incredible news from Austin this week: Walnut Grove High School has earned an "A" rating in this year's State Accountability Ratings! Even more remarkable, we didn't just earn an A; we grew into it, climbing from an 89 last year to a 93 this year. That kind of jump doesn't happen by accident. It happens because of the relentless work of our teachers, the support of our families, and the effort our students bring to campus every single day.
I want to especially highlight our Closing the Gaps score, which speaks directly to who we are as a campus. It reflects our commitment to meeting every student exactly where they are and providing the instruction and support they need to reach mastery, regardless of their starting point. That's not just a number on a report; that's our mission in action.
And the wins didn't stop there. Our students posted gains across the board on their AP exams, proving that high expectations paired with great teaching produce real results. Add to that our campus's Lone Star Cup win this year, and it's clear: Walnut Grove is standing at the top of the mountain, and that's why we are THE STANDARD.
We didn't get here by accident, and we don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Thank you to our staff, students, and families for making this past year one for the record books. Here's to raising the bar even higher in '26- '27!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful 1st week of school and as always we are here to help with anything you need. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!
Go Cats!
