First Day Quick Facts
๐ FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS ALMOST HERE!
We are so excited to welcome our Rodriguez Knights back to campus on Wednesday, August 19th! Here are a few important details to help your first morning go smoothly:
- ๐ First Day: Wednesday, August 19th
- ๐ Student Drop-Off: Begins at 7:05 a.m. at the front of the school
- ๐ Classes Begin: 7:35 a.m.
- ๐ Dismissal: 3:15 p.m.
- ๐ Friendly faces will be ready! Plenty of staff will be outside to greet students and help them get where they need to go.
- ๐ Backpack Tags: Every student will have a backpack tag to help staff make sure they go home the correct way.
- Kindergartenโ2nd grade: Please leave the tag on the backpack all year.
- 3rdโ5th grade: We encourage students to keep the tag on for the first 3 weeks.
- ๐ Practice makes perfect! Before the first day, practice unbuckling seat belts and getting out of the car independently. Staff will be there to help, but practicing at home can make the morning easier.
- โฐ Please expect delays. Drop-off and pick-up lines may be long during the first few weeks as everyone gets comfortable with new routines.
- ๐ Slow is Safe! Please be patient, follow staff directions, and remember that student safety is always our top priority.
More information and helpful first-day reminders will be coming your way next week. We canโt wait to see our Knights! ๐๐ฉถ
