Hello Fall!

We had a wonderful beginning to our school year. Students visit the library every other week, so they have their books for 2 weeks before returning them. During library time we read a story, complete an activity and select our books. Did you know reading with your child just 10 minutes a day could expose them to up to 600,000 words in a year? Not only that, but when you spend time reading to your child, they begin to link reading to positive emotions such as feeling loved. I hope you find time this month to share stories with each other!
Thank you for being responsible for our books!

Read. Return. Repeat.📘📗📕📙

Don't forget to return your books weekly!

Helpful Hint: When you are done reading, put your book back in your backpack. That way it stays with you at home and at school!

Forgot your book this week? No problem!

We will give you a notice sharing book so you can bring it back next time.

Last month we celebrated dot day! 🎨 Last month we celebrated dot day! 🎨

After reading " The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds, students had a chance to express themselves by creating their own dot. Together we created a mural for the library!

October 27-31st

Our first book fair is coming at the end of the month! This year we are going cashless. All students wishing to purchase items at the bookfair will need to have an e-wallet. It is free to set up with the link (you can begin to set up wallets on October 6th). You can put as much or as little money on your child's account for them to spend. That's not all! You can share the link with friends and family if they wish to put money on your child's account as well. If there is a remaining balance after the book fair, it will carry over for your child to use at our next bookfair or you can use the money for an online order. Teachers can set up an e-wallet as well, so you can donate to the class. If you visit the fair in person, you can purchase items using cards or cash apps. The book fair will only be open for students during the day, as we are a closed campus, however it will be open during our parent night, October 29th Literacy Trunk or Treat from 5-6:30, so you can come explore the fair with your child. We can't wait to see you there!

You can begin to set up your e-wallets on October 6th. Visit our Scholastic book fair site at:
