Dear Hirsch Hawk Parents and Guardians,

What an amazing turnout we had for our PTO Sponsored Fall Festival! Thank you to all of our families who came out to enjoy the evening with us. It was wonderful to see our students laughing, playing games, and making special memories together. A huge thank you goes to our PTO for working tirelessly and diligently to organize such a fantastic community event — your dedication truly shines through everything you do for our school!

This week, we are proud to celebrate Red Ribbon Week, the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention campaign. Red Ribbon Week began in 1985 to honor the life of DEA Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, whose commitment to keeping communities drug-free inspired millions. The red ribbon serves as a symbol of our shared stand against drug use and our commitment to helping children live safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

We invite all families to join us in the spirit of Red Ribbon Week by helping your students participate in our daily dress-up themes! These fun activities remind students that living drug-free helps them reach their dreams and “unlock the magic within.” Research shows that the average age of first drug or alcohol experimentation can begin as early as middle school, which is why the conversations and habits we build now are so important. Together—as parents, educators, and community partners—we can protect the future of our children, our community, and our nation.

A few reminders:

  • Chick-fil-A Lunch: Don’t forget to place your order for a special Chick-fil-A lunch on Thursday, October 31 (Halloween). ORDER HERE
  • Student Holidays: Students will enjoy a Student Holiday on Monday, November 3 and Tuesday, November 4.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for helping us make Hirsch Elementary a place where every child can soar!

With Hawk Pride,

Principal Patterson
