HONORING OUR NATION'S HEROES
On Friday, November 7th, Martinsburg North Middle School proudly hosted our annual Veterans Day event, welcoming several veterans from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. Students showcased their talents as the NMS Band, Strings, and Choir performed patriotic music to honor those who serve. Members of the student council presented a moving reader’s theatre, highlighting the many challenges soldiers face both on the front lines and upon returning home.
Following the ceremony, our 6th graders had the opportunity to hear directly from veterans about their experiences and service, while the Family & Consumer Science classes graciously served a luncheon. This year’s event saw tremendous participation from both faculty and students, making it a memorable celebration of our nation’s heroes.
We also want to recognize the veterans on our NMS staff — Mr. Barclay, Ms. Crowley, and Mr. Bell — for their service not only to our country but also to our school community. Thank you to everyone who made this Veterans Day truly special!
