๐ Congratulations to our Teacher of the Month, Mr. Elledge, and our Para of the Month, Mrs. Hernandez! ๐
Mr. Elledge has our students excited about art and the amazing projects they are creating this year. Mrs. Hernandez works tirelessly managing attendance and enrollment, providing support to our students, families, and staff. Thank you both for all you do for Keeley! ๐Congrats!
Calling All Dads
Dads, granddads, uncles, and father figures: join WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) and spend one day at Keeley as a positive role model for our Cowboys. Help at arrival and dismissal, visit classrooms, and join students at lunch and recess. It's one of the most rewarding days of the year: you'll see your child light up with pride, get a real look at their school day, and leave knowing you made a difference. No experience needed!
3 Easy Steps
1. Fill out the Interest Form.
2. Complete the GISD volunteer background check. Required before volunteering. Allow
5+ business days; a new check is needed each school year.
3. Pick your day on SignUpGenius.
Lunch and Lunch Visitors
Parent lunches will be on Fridays or Mondays this year after that.
We will use SignUpGenius as our scheduling tool. We are able to accommodate a limited number of guests each day.
Only parents who have signed up will be able to visit for lunch.
Parents/Guardians will be able to sit with their child only.
Please allow all parents an opportunity to come have lunch with their child.
Parents will still need to check in and out of the office with a valid picture ID on the days they are scheduled to eat with their child.

Food Deliveries
To ensure the safety and well-being of all our students, we kindly remind you that outside food deliveries, including fast food, are not permitted during school hours. If your child forgets their lunch, you are welcome to bring a sack lunch to the front office before 10:00 a.m.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Opportunities for Special Ed. Parents
Parent Questions or Concerns
At Keeley, we value strong partnerships with our families and are committed to addressing concerns promptly and respectfully. If you have a question or concern regarding your child, we encourage you to first contact your child's teacher. In most cases, open communication between families and teachers leads to a quick and successful resolution. If your concern remains unresolved after speaking with the teacher, a campus administrator is available to provide additional support. Following this process helps ensure concerns are addressed by the appropriate individuals and allows us to work together in the best interest of every student.
Remember your badge each day
- Please make sure your child's ID badge is in a safe place and ready for school each day.
- Lost or damaged badges: The first replacement is provided at no cost. Additional replacements are $5 each. Treat the badge like any other essential school item.
Apply to be a volunteer
We value all our volunteers and the work they do to help our school. For the safety of all students, we require potential volunteers who will work at any campus to receive a background check by the Department of Public Safety (DPS), which is done through our online application.
Please remember to complete a new application for every school year. To apply, visit: https://garlandisd.net/connect/volunteer/volunteer-application-process
