Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!
Picture of the week: After learning about the amazing contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Grade 1 students practiced listening skills to create his image!
We had a great week at Pingree! Students were busy learning a new module in their Wit and Wisdom reading program as well as showing us what they know on their iReady assessments.
Grade 3 had some special guests! Brain scientists, Dr. Bless and Dr. Pearl came into teach them all about the thousands of species of frogs as well as the life cycle of a mealworm! Boy did they look the part thanks to a generous donation from Christine Kenney, mother of Miles Kenney a current kindergarten student who donated real science lab coats!
Finally, thank you to all the parents using our rolling drop-off line in the morning. Using this line helps avoid congestion due to backing out of parking spaces and keeps students and families safe by not having to cross the parking lot! Just a reminder, there is no leaving cars unattended that are not in designated parking spots!
