Dear PV Athletic Community,

The first week of fall sport events is always nice to highlight boys' and girls' golf as they start their official events before all of our other sports. Congratulation to both teams as they both started their non league season 2-0. The boys defeated Dock Mennonite and Delco Christian and the girls defeated Villa Maria and Pennsbury. Both teams showed us that we can expect big things from them this season. Most of our other sports will begin their play this week and you can see all the events for each specific sport under their section below.

I have also included some important dates within this newsletter. Additionally, you will find the paperwork to buy season passes for this years sporting events. If you would like to secure season passes for this year, see the form below and follow the appropriate steps. Enjoy the rest of your summer and I look forward to seeing you at events in the near future.

The PV Girls Volleyball Team is hosting their annual volleyball clinic for girls in grades 5-8 on Saturday, September 9th. The clinic is open to all skill levels. Cost is $40 per athlete (includes FREE T-shirt). CLICK HERE to register today! Please email PVVBBoosters@gmail.com with any questions.

First day of Middle School Football will be August 21.

First day of Middle School Sports will be August 28.

Registration for fall sports must have occurred by July 24. This can be done at http://www.planeths.com. In addition to registering, student-athletes must have a PIAA physical examination done by a doctor and the proper paperwork completed by the doctor. In order to count for the 2023 school year, the physical must occur June 1 or later. The form is found on www.planeths.com when you register.

2023-2024 Viking Athletic Department Ticket Program

Ticket Prices: Adults $5.00 Students $5.00

Student Yearly Pass: $40

This pass includes general admission for one student to home PV athletic events for the 2023-2024 school year. This pass does not include free admission to PAC, District 1 or PIAA playoff events. SCHOOL ID REQUIRED w/PASS AT EVENTS

Family Yearly Pass: $150

This pass includes general admission for household family members to home PV athletic events for the 2023-2024 school year. To qualify, a family must have at least one Perkiomen Valley school-aged child. This pass does not include free admission to PAC, District 1 or PIAA playoff events. STUDENTS: SCHOOL ID REQUIRED w/PASS AT EVENTS

Adult Yearly Pass: $80

This pass includes admission for one adult to home PV athletic events for the 2023-2024 school year. This pass does not include free admission to PAC, District 1 or PIAA playoff events.

Sr. Citizen Pass: Free! Senior Gold Card Application

This pass provides free general admission to Perkiomen Valley home events. You must be 65-years of age, reside in the Perkiomen Valley School District and provide proof of age and address. This pass may be obtained at the School District Administration Building. This pass does not include free admission to PAC, District 1 or PIAA playoff events.

Unsung athlete of the week: Abigail McCorkell started the year with solid play by shooting one over par & 2 over par at Spring Hollow to lead the team this week. Her solid play and leadership will be an asset to the team this year.

This is JV Coach Kelly Sorber's first season with the PV Girls Golf team. She is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University and is currently in her 11th year as an English teacher at the high school.

Head Coach Ann Fadden is entering her 4th year in coaching Perkiomen Valley Water Polo. She is a graduate of Souderton Area HS and the University of Delaware where she competed in swimming. She is starting her 5th year as a Health & Phys. Ed. teacher at PVHS. She currently resides in Harleysville with her dog Twinkie. Her favorite part of coaching is making connections with student-athletes and seeing their progression in the sport. She would love to see the sport of Water Polo grow in the community and to continue to develop the PV program.

Head Coach Joe Yanulevich is entering his 25th year of coaching football. He has coached 7th, 8th, and freshman football during his time at PV. He is a graduate of Interboro High School and Penn State University where he studied Exercise and Sport Science. He currently resides in Royersford with his wife Susan. He has three children: Taylor, Ryan, and Jack . He loves coaching football due to the selfless nature of the sport and all the life lessons you gain. Another positive is getting to know the students outside of the classroom in a different setting.
