Introducing GLOBE’s Crossing Guards
We are excited to introduce our new crossing guards to the school community!
Thank you for your patience and support as GLOBE worked through the hiring process to ensure the school has trained staff in place to help keep students and families safe during arrival and dismissal.
Mr. Gage Roberts
Mrs. Gloria Harris
Mrs. Toi Elizabeth Hines
We are actively working on hiring two additional Crossing Guards for Lower Campus.
Please continue to follow the instructions of the crossing guards:
Wait at the curb and cross only when signaled by the crossing guard.
Look both ways before crossing.
Hold hands with younger students.
Walk calmly—no running or playing in the roadway.
Cross only at designated crosswalks.
Be respectful and follow all crossing guard directions.
Walkers to GLOBE
New Lower Campus Walker 'Flight Path' Option
In partnership with Clairmont Presbyterian Church, we are now able to provide an alternate walking path for morning and afternoon walkers. Enter at the staircase, located at the corner of Clairmont and North Druid Hills road, onto the church property. Follow the signs to the side gate, which will lead to the main walker entrance. Parents must continue to walk their children all the way to and from the walker door, do not leave them at the gate.
Parking is available at Bridgepoint Church for morning and afternoon walker families.
The walker door closes at 8:00am each morning. If you arrive after 8:00am and carpool is still in motion, you may walk your student (via the walker flight path) to a staff member who is stationed in front of the Respect Building. If you arrive after carpool has ended, please walk your student to the Front Office in the Community Building and follow the tardy procedures.
Upper Campus Walkers
Upper Campus students must not be dropped off at or near the intersection of Shallowford Road and Briarcliff Road. If you are transporting your child closer to Upper Campus, please park in a safe location away from the intersection and school, and allow them to exit your vehicle safely and walk to the designated crosswalks.
In community,
Jen Parker
Director of Operations
