Lafayette Theatre Newsletter

We hope you are all having an amazing summer so far! With school starting back in less than a month we wanted to check in with everyone and share all the things we have to look forward to for the 2026-2027 school year!

The dates for this year's fall play auditions, musical auditions, and performances are already added to the Lafayette Theatre Google Calendar! Make sure you have synced this with your personal calendars!

Scroll down to see our Lafayette Theatre Alumni spotlights, some of our former students are doing great work across the country onstage this summer and we are SO proud of the people and artists they have become! Do you know an alumni doing something amazing? Tell them to fill out our form so we can celebrate their work!

Auditions for the fall play, "This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing" are August 13th and 14th from 3:30-5:30 in Beeler Auditorium! Students only need to plan to attend one day. Audition and technician sign ups will be shared out on our website, Instagram, Newsletter, Student Square, and in front of room 120 the week before we get back to school!

Read the script before you audition to make sure you know the show!

You still have time to catch Lafayette Thespian Troupe members in some shows the last few weeks of July and into early August! Check it out!

Ms. Gorrell has compiled a list of auditions, classes, and volunteer opportunities in Lexington.

If you are interested in continuing training outside of school, check out this list! Everything from LCT's weekly company auditions to training programs with The Lex and show auditions across town are coming up! If you notice something is left off or have any questions, feel free to reach out to Ms. Gorrell and she will add things to the list!

We are working to share these out throughout the summer on social media!
