Attendance Matters
Every school day is another brick in the foundation of your child's success. This year, we're working toward a 96% attendance rate, and we need every Eagle in the nest each day. Last week, our attendance was at 97.5%, and our attendance average for the year is 96.6%. We met our goal this week!
Be here. Build your future. Soar higher.
Principal's Note
Second Quarter
Our Fall Festival is coming up Saturday, October 24, and we hope you will join us!
The auction begins at 3:00 p.m. and will include class baskets, class crafts, and other donated items. Then from 4:00–6:00 p.m., families can enjoy games, food trucks, activities, and more.
A couple of special activities:
- Hayride – $2
- Haunted House – $5
This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and the money raised through the auction helps support our classrooms and makes it possible for our students to take part in many of the field trips and experiences they enjoy throughout the year.
We appreciate the support our families and community continue to give Murchison ISD, and we hope to see everyone there!
Growing learners. Building leaders. Together.
Eagle Pride
This week, our Eagle Pride focus is #1: When given something, always say thank you without insulting the gift or the giver.
We want students to understand that gratitude is about showing appreciation, even when something may not be exactly what they wanted. Learning to respond kindly helps build respect, maturity, and consideration for others.
At home, parents can help by:
- Reminding children to say thank you when someone does something for them.
- Encouraging them to focus on the thought and effort behind a gift or kind gesture.
- Teaching them that it is okay not to love everything, but it is still important to respond respectfully.
- Modeling gratitude in everyday situations.
A simple “thank you” can go a long way in showing respect and appreciation for others.
