Happy New Year!
We hope all of our Central families had a wonderful Christmas and made many new memories. We are wishing all of you a happy and healthy start to 2025. We are excited to see all of our students back at school on Thursday, January 2nd!
Parents' Night Out
Our January Parents' Night is focused on the mental health of our children. Our 31n Counselors have an amazing presentation for all parents of students in grades Young 5 through 12th. We hope you can join us for dinner, and child care is provided. After the presentation, we have great prizes to give away. Please register by January 6th!
Winter Testing
As we return from our winter break, we will begin our winter session of student testing. Beginning January 6th we will be taking our NWEA, IXL, BAS, and Heggerty testing. Here are some ways that you can support your student as we enter into mid-year assessments:
- Remind your child to take their time in order to show what they know!
- When students understand why they are completing something, they perform better. All results are used to guide their future instruction and learning.
- Encourage a healthy breakfast on testing days or remind them to take the time eat at school.
- Limit screen time prior to testing day to improve sleep quality.
- Read teacher communication for testing dates and results.
