1SC Shout Outs!
Dannyell Grimes
Did you know Sand Creek has over 13 students participating in a work study/apprentice program? The Aggie Academic Center recognizes that there are many paths to learning and this is just one of many!
This week's featured student is Dannyell Grimes. Dannyell is completing a co-op experience as a veterinary assistant at Adrian Animal Clinic. In this program Dannyell spends the second half of her day at the clinic working with animals and the clinic staff to learn what veterinary medicine is all about! We are proud of Dannyell for taking on this challenge and learning in a unique way!
The Counseling Center would like to continue to recognize the LISD TECH Center for all of their hard work partnering with us and helping us to support and secure these placements for our students at Sand Creek.
MP 1 TRADES Award Recipients
These students were presented with an award for TRADES award (formerly work habits) during the first marking period of the 2025-2026 school year at the LISD TECH Center. Congrats to these students. We are very proud of how you represent our 1SC values!
Positive TRADES are a key component of LISD TECH Center curriculum constituting 15% of the students’ grades. These students have demonstrated teamwork, responsibility, attitude, dependability, effort, and safety in their respective programs.
