The Rebel Kitchen offers a Plant-Based Option everyday at Lunch. Breakfast is served everyday after 7:30 a.m. A friendly reminder that students must have money on their account in order to purchase a la carte items or additional lunches. All students receive one breakfast/lunch daily, free of charge.

On September 5, 2025 we are having WG Bun, Pulled Pork, Ranch Roasted Potatoes, Romaine, Carrots, Sidekicks, Mandarin Oranges, Fresh Fruit and Veggies.

Reminder to all JH and HS students to get to their scheduled classes on time! If you accumulate 3 or more tardies in a week time span, you will be assigned a 1 hour after school detention on Wednesday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. This includes 1st hour attendance!

Reminder to all JH and HS students that if you do not attend a scheduled class without excuse, this will be considered an unexcused absence and skipped class. Any skipped classes will be assigned a 1 hour after school detention on Wednesday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. This includes your Advisory class.

ALL SCHS Students: Check your school email to vote for your class Homecoming Court. Ballots close at 3:00pm today!

• The StuCo Snack Shack is now open in Ms. Jackson’s classroom! All proceeds go to your SCHS Student Council.

• There is a SCHS Student Council meeting, Thursday September 11th, during Pride Time in room 323.

Any 6th graders who have not yet finished their math assessment should check in with their Pride Time teacher and then report to Ms. Jacobs' room for Pride Time this morning.

Last chance to sign up for the info session with UofI tomorrow during Advisory. We will be in room 222. If you have any interest in attending University of Illinois, right after high school or after community college, this meeting is for you!

• Sophomores, Just a reminder that Jostens will be here on Tuesday, September 16th, during advisory to take your class ring and letter jacket orders. Design your ring online at jostens.com

• If you did not receive a ring packet, there are extras in the office.
• There will be a Sophomore class skit meeting Monday Friday Sept 15 during advisory in Mr. Carroll's room.
• There will be a sophomore class float meeting FRIDAY September 12th in Mrs. Venzon's room. If you are a student that signed up to work on the float, or are interested in working on the float, please plan to attend.

There will be a Junior High Football meeting in Mr. King's room on Wednesday September 10 during Advisory. All students who signed up should attend.

There is a Jr. High girls basketball meeting on Thursday Sept. 11 during Advisory in the little gym

Homecoming parade applications are in the SCJSHS office. All applications are due by Friday, September 19th.

The freshmen class is still in need of students to sign up for the skit committee. Freshmen still need more girls to sign up for the Homecoming Powder Puff game. Contact Ms. Carroll or Mr. Browning to sign up.

There will be a float building meeting for the sophomore class today in Mrs. Venzon's room during advisory. Those that signed up to help should plan to attend.

If you are interested, please come as well!

There will be a Sophomore class skit meeting during Advisory Monday Sept. 15th in Mr. Carroll's room.

There will be a History Club meeting Thursday September 11 during Advisory in Mr. Carroll's room.

Junior High Student Council applications are due September 12th to Mrs. Acree. If you weren't able to make the meeting, please see Mrs. Acree for an application.

There are 4 ducks hidden in the junior high section and 4 ducks hidden in the high school section of the library. when you find the duck and check out the book that is with it. You can win a prize!

Tutoring for students will begin on Tuesday, September 2. Tutoring is not just for someone who needs extra help, but also works as a quiet space to work if they forgot to do something, or lack internet access at home, etc. This service is available for both junior high and high school students.

Who: Do you like to act? Pantomime? Perform in front of others? Stand like a tree? Bark like a dog? Or be a silent supporting actor?

What: Stark County’s Junior High Speech Team

Speech is a competitive acting club. We have at least 2 meets.

When: Art Room–Times TBA to help you. We will talk about that together when we meet for the first time. (Arranged around your other sports.)

How: Solo acting, duet, or small groups. We can talk about that when you come. Quiet or shy but love to have fun with your friends? It doesn’t matter, I have a place for you! Together we can find something for everyone.

Jr High Speech info meeting in the art room this Friday, Sept 12. Come find out about the speech team. We will act out a few examples to give you the taste of what it is all about!

Please note details for HS Parking this school year. Students will not be allowed to park on Franklin St. or Prairie Ave. Additional parking is available in the additional HS lot and the new JH lot.
