Maple Grove Fox Report

I took time to think about all the things around Maple Grove Charter School that I am thankful for: the eager learners, devoted staff, vested School district of Athens, supportive community members, beautiful environment, and involved families.

We can truly never repay our service members but we can try to thank and remember their many sacrifices! Our assembly will be Friday, November 10th in the MGCS gym. Learners have worked hard on creating this program for our local service members.

Maple Grove will also have refreshments on hand for our families and community members.

Thanksgiving break will be from Wednesday, November 22nd until Friday, November 24th. We will see you back at school on Monday, November 27th.

We are taking cookie order forms now! Please contact the office you are in need of another cookie order form! Thanks for your time and efforts for this fundraising opportunity!

We could use a couple more volunteers to help to distribute on pick up night - Friday, December 1st. If you are willing to volunteer please contact Katie at 715-351-0918.

It's Mr. Smith's first year teaching general music here and we are excited to share the Maple Grove holiday traditions with him!

Grades K-2: Tuesday, December 5, 6:00 pm

Grades 3-5: Thursday, December 7, 6:00 pm

DOORS WILL OPEN AT 5:15 pm. Please have all learners here by 5:45 pm. They will report to their classrooms when they arrive.

Thank you to the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department for the presentation! Learners even got to practice stop, drop, and roll!

Thank you to the PTO for your time and effort in sponsoring the Fall Festival. It's always nice to see families come together to enjoy conversation and the excitement of the crisp fall air.

Please remember to send your learner(s) with weather appropriate clothing, including boots, hats, mittens, coats, and snow pants! We are lucky to have a great outdoor learning along with fun woods to explore during recesses, but it's not all that fun if you are cold. We do have some extras at school we lend out. If you child does borrow, we just ask you return it to school for the next learner who might need it.

Our chili supper this year will be November 16th from 5:00-7:00 in the MGCS gym. Please bring your family and friends to this community event that the MGCS staff sponsors. We will have sour cream, crackers, croutons, shredded cheese and other goodies to add to your chili. Our tradition will continue with a chili contest and voting will take place during the event.

This event is a free will donation.

The Maple Grove Foundation, Inc. will now to handling the Kwik Trip gift cards ongoing fundraiser. 5% of each card purchased will benefit Maple Grove Charter School! Please have an order form filled out or an envelope labeled with students name and the dollar amount per gift card.
