Principal's Message
Good afternoon,
While the warmer weather and upcoming break are exciting, we are encouraging all students to "finish strong." Middle school is a critical time for developing academic stamina. We ask for your support in:
Checking Grades: Log in to Teacherease to ensure all assignments are submitted.
Maintaining Routines: Even as the days get longer, consistent sleep and study habits make a world of difference in the classroom.
Media Center Returns: Please help your student locate and return any overdue library books or school-issued materials.
Thank you,
Dr. Emily Loerakker

Summer Online Learning Access
This Summer Online Learning Access document highlights the programs that students have access to over the summer, should you wish to access them for independent summer learning. These are the same online, personalized, self-paced, student-directed programs FSD79 uses during the school year. Prior to summer break, your childβs current classroom teacher(s) will provide reminders regarding the necessary login information needed to access these tools.
Calling Fremont Graduates in High School
The 8th grade teachers are looking for former Fremont Middle School students that are currently in high school to come and speak with the graduating class of 2026. We are asking you to speak to approximately 25-50 students about your experiences navigating high school, your tips and tricks for success, and answer questions the 8th graders may have.
This event will take place on Wednesday, June 3 from 12:00 - 12:30. Please arrive a few minutes early so that you have time to check in with the front office.
You may use THIS TEMPLATE to develop a presentation, if youβd like. This is an amazing opportunity to give back to the Fremont community, help the future Mustangs, Patriots, Rams, and Corsairs and reconnect with your former teachers! It is also a great chance to earn service hours. Please complete Fremont Alumni Speaker Interest Form if you are interested or reach out to Mr. LaCursia (dlacursia@fsd79.org) if you have any questions.
Sign up before 6/30/2026 - Save $100 off the cost of the trip.
