January

Every month, the counselor lessons align with our Journey of a Blue Devil competencies. This month we are focused on responsibility. When we define what responsibility is, we define it as acting with integrity and honesty. We want students to learn the importance of honoring their commitments and owning the outcome. This month, we will begin our managing emotions unit in our Second Step lessons. Students can demonstrate responsibility by managing their emotions, staying calm and making the right decision.

What Did I Miss?

December counselor lessons were focused on learning what empathy is and why having empathy is important. Empathy is one of our Journey of a Blue Devil competencies that we want all students to learn!

The second round of small groups has started. If you have any questions or are wanting to access resources that align with the small group lessons your child attends, please reach out to me via email.
