The News
This week we learned that our Seniors were at the top of Franklin County in ELA and Math proficiency on the ACT they took in the Spring as Juniors. They were just below the state average in ELA and at the state average in Math. They scored six percent better than last year on ELA and nine percent better on Math. I'm very proud of the hard work of this class and look forward to this year's juniors continuing to Set The Standard.
Our volleyball team played some tough competition this week losing to Haleyville, Fayette County, Deshler and East Lawrence. However, the bright side was they were able to score big set wins against very good Fayette County and East Lawrence teams. The Bobcats will open area play this week at Carbon Hill.
Our football team also played a very good upper level competition Friday night losing to Central-Florence. The Bobcats will open region play this wee at home against Lexington.
Our junior high football team also opens their season this week hosting Colbert County on Monday.
Our JAG program is hosting a LifeSouth Blood Drive on Wednesday. If you are able, help save a life by donating blood between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
Have A Great Week!

Homecoming Information
As we announced earlier in the year, because our Homecoming week fell on Fall Break Week, the Homecoming game will be on Thursday, October 8 at 7pm.
The parade will be on Wednesday afternoon (October 7) at 2pm with a community pep rally immediately following (school will dismiss early on this day). There will be a student bonfire fellowship at 8pm after church hours on Wednesday night. We know this is an inconvenience for some adults but it is in the best interest of our student and staff since they will be out of school on Thursday and Friday.
There will be a parent-sponsored Homecoming dance on Saturday, September 26 from 7 to 10pm at the Phil Campbell Community Center. Again, this is two weeks before Homecoming because of scheduling conflicts with other events and Fall Break.
