Athletics

All Middle School Athletics (boys and girls) will practice during 1st Hour this year. To participate in athletics, a physical is required. Go to https://www.deweyk12.org/athletics to find the required forms. Students in the 6th grade who want to play basketball will have tryouts at the beginning of the school year.

BOOST Bulldogger Skills

This year, we are launching a new academic focus called BOOST (Building On Our Skills Together)—an initiative designed to help our students grow their Bulldogger skills in reading, writing, math, problem-solving, and goal setting. You’ll hear more about BOOST throughout the year as we celebrate student progress.

Dewey Schools Public Schools is pleased to offer free or reduced-priced lunches to students who qualify. Additionally though, significant funding dollars are tied to the percentage of students in the district that qualify for free or reduced price lunches. These dollars affect everything from lunches to after school tutoring programs to technology. For these reasons, we STRONGLY recommend applying, even if you are not sure you would qualify or if your student doesn't plan to eat in the cafeteria. Applying just takes a few moments and many people qualify who do not anticipate it

Everyday purchases can help DMS! Casey's Cash for Class and Box Tops for Education are two simple ways to support our school.
