BASC-BESS Universal Screener Opt-Out Deadline is Tomorrow

Friday, September 18 is the deadline for families to complete the opt-out form if they do not wish their K-12 students to participate in the BASC-BESS Universal Screener from October 1-30.

Did You Know? Did You Know?

CSD Has Heard Your Feedback!

The following information addresses feedback from parents gathered in the 2025-2026 CSD Communications Survey. Thank you for your participation! Additionally, the format for CSD Weekly has been updated to reflect survey recommendations.

Parent feedback: Why does CSD send emergency alerts via text and email?

Communications: Emergency alerts are sent via text and email to ensure timely communication, in accordance with the communications preferences selected in Infinite Campus. Texts are limited to 140 characters. Further details will be sent via email when needed.

Parent feedback: How do I unsubscribe from or resubscribe to alerts?

Communications: Families are automatically subscribed to receive district and school texts and emails. Please note that unsubscribing to any communication means you will not receive district or school messages and alerts. To resubscribe, please contact your school's administrative assistant to update your communications preferences in Infinite Campus. You may select text or email only, or both.

Parent feedback: The CSD Weekly has too much information.

Communications: In response to feedback from the 2025-2026 Communications Survey, the CSD Weekly is being streamlined to make pertinent information easier to access. Check out our Facebook, Instagram and school newsletters for more highlights.

Parent feedback: I don't like having to click twice to get to my school newsletter.

Communications: We hear you and we are working on a solution.

Parent feedback: How is CSD reaching out to residents who don't have kids in CSD?

Communications: CSD is working to engage all members of the community by sharing district initiatives through City of Decatur and neighborhood association channels.

Thank you for your partnership as we continue to enhance CSD communications. Your feedback is welcomed at communications@csdecatur.net and on the annual survey.
