STUDENT SHOWCASE HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED STUDENT SHOWCASE HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED

In late January during the Covid spikes, it was decided to postpone our Elementary Student Showcase that was set to take place March 17th. It has been rescheduled to take place on May 19th. We hope to see you there!
The Transportation Department would like to remind parents and guardians that we no longer accept “Tickets to Ride” or notes to ride to other students' homes or a different bus to another address. This is a procedure change that went into effect in the fall of 2021. Thank you for your understanding and please plan accordingly.

HAPPY AMERICORPS WEEK! HAPPY AMERICORPS WEEK!

AmeriCorps and Americorps Seniors Week is March 13-19. During AmeriCorps Week we recognize the commitment of the millions of Americans who have chosen to serve their country through AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Seniors and encourage others to follow in their footsteps of service. AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers represent the best of America: tirelessly serving people in communities across the country.

Mary McGraw, Jan Falk, Rose Finneman, Teri Osweiler, Dennis Danielson, and Elizabeth Sand tutor and mentor youth at Mora Elementary School as Foster Grandparents. They are helping youth by working on vocabulary, reading, doing math facts, and playing games.

This AmeriCorps Week join us as we celebrate the impact of our programs and offer our thanks to volunteers for making an impact and serving others.

MELTING SNOW= WET CLOTHING MELTING SNOW= WET CLOTHING

A friendly reminder regarding wet feet/clothes at recess:

Please help remind your students that if they chose to play in an area, or in a way that leads to soggy feet or clothes, they make the choice to sit in those clothes for the rest of the day.

If you know your child likes to play in the mud and puddles please send them with extra waterproof clothes/boots.

Unfortunately, our health office only has clothing resources for true accidents or unavoidable incidents.

If your child has outgrown snow pants or boots you would like to contribute to our health office feel free to drop them off at the elementary! *We have plenty of shirts and pants at this time.*

We appreciate your help with this issue.

Thank you!

This class for children will address several topics relating to being "Home Alone," including age guidelines, safe habits, house rules, after school routines, phone calls and door knocks, dog emergencies, personal safety, handling the unexpected, gun safety, severe weather, fire safety, intruders, and first aid tips.
