Top 5 Reasons to Attend the Annual Ski & Skate Sale
5) The sale has been happening since 1979. Not only has it been at the school longer than any of the current staff, it also predates cell phones and personal computers, proving a good idea can really last.
4) Profits from the sale support our community in many ways. They have been used to fund sidewalks, purchase land for the Mad River Path, construct a pumptrack, and create playgrounds used by so many in addition to paying for so many beloved WES school activities.
3) November can be a bit dark and dreary. The sale is a great way to fuel excitement for playing in winter, providing affordable gear for activities from skating, skiing (in all forms), sledding and snowshoeing along with the softgoods needed to stay warm and comfortable while doing so.
2) It's a great social event; one can linger with a friend or neighbor not seen in awhile or quickly catch up with the array of people who come out from the hills, or back to town, to shop or work at the sale.
1) The sale is a "perfect" fundraiser, where everyone involved benefits. Consigners and vendors make money from goods they no longer want, shoppers get great deals and a portion of the profits benefit the school.
See you at the sale.
Respectfully, Kaiya
p.s. Thank you for your patience as our parking lot is taken over by the sale. As a reminder, pick up and drop off of students will be at the Fire Station on Friday. Drop off will be there Monday as well. The afterschool program is running from Fayston School today (Thursday) and Friday.

THE LIBRARIANS DOCUMENTARY COMING TO THE BIG PICTURE
Celebrate Our Freedom to Read with special screening and Q&A event
The award-winning Sundance 2025 premiere from Academy® Award nominated and Peabody Award winning Director/Producer Kim A Snyder THE LIBRARIANS is coming to The Big Picture Theater on Friday, November 20 at 7:00 PM.
As an unprecedented wave of book banning is sparked in Texas, Florida, and beyond, librarians under siege join forces as unlikely defenders fighting for intellectual freedom on the front lines of democracy. A New York Times Critic's Pick, Snyder's award-winning documentary is "gripping... as well-crafted as it is profoundly alarming.”

This special event screening will feature a Q&A discussion with Producer Janique L Robillard, a Waitsfield native whose most recent credits include Producing the Academy® Award nominated short documentary Death By Numbers with Snyder and their producing partner Maria Cuomo Cole.
