Hello All,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend, stayed warm and dry, and enjoyed yourselves. Our house is starting to empty again. Lily G went back to her last semester at UVM. Phoebe is back at Simmons, and we are cleaning up from December's guests. All in all a quiet weekend.
This week holds presumably the last MRPS board meeting, as the board will recommend a budget to be approved and sent to the voters on Town Meeting day.
Otherwise, four days of Solon Blocks and we are two weeks away from the end of the semester. Please continue to call back students and work with them to end the halfway point positively. On Wednesday, Adaptive Scheduler should open up to call students back for Wrap-Up Days on Jan. 25 and 26.

- If you have a student attending your SB who was not signed up with you, PLEASE assign them to your SB immediately so that the attendance can be accurate.
And, if you have a TA student called back to a different teacher, please advise that student where to go. - A reminder from Sylvia and myself- For those of you wishing to expand your skill set in working with Multilingual Learners, there is a potential 3-credit course to be offered this spring. It's called Making Content Comprehensible for Multilingual Learners and Students with Language Learning Disabilities and it is offered by Hannah Wilson, ML teacher at MSMS, and Paula Gervia, SLP at MSMS. If you don't know them, they are phenomenal educators.
At this point the district is trying to gauge interest in the course, so if you think you might be interested, check out the course description and fill out this survey to indicate your potential interest. It's not a commitment yet.
The course will run March 4 - April 28. Much of the class work will consist of applying course material to your ongoing unit/lesson planning. I feel confident in saying that it will be a great course with immediately-applicable learning.
