A Note from Principal DeVito
Good Afternoon Jaguar Nation!
This is my favorite time of yearโnot just because of spring break, but because of the incredible energy on our campus. We had an engaging and dynamic week of learning, with our hallways and collaboration spaces buzzing with group activities, labs, debates, and hands-on explorations.
Our fine arts programs delivered outstanding performances, showcasing their hard work and talent at the highest levels.
๐ Please help me CONGRATULATE all three of our JAGS Choirs, under the direction of Lenette Castaneda and assistant Abbey Sensenich, for earning six straight SUPERIOR ratings for each of their performances at UIL last week! ๐
๐ถ Our JV Treble Choir delivered a stunning performance for both Concert and Sight Reading!
๐ถ Our Varsity Treble Choir performed at a Superior level and received the highest compliments from all our judges.
๐ถ Our Varsity Men's Choir made Prosper ISD history as the FIRST menโs choir to go varsity and the FIRST to earn SWEEPSTAKES!
๐ป A huge congratulations to our Jones Orchestra students, under the direction of Mary Winkler and assistant Meghan Scott! ๐ป
๐ถ The Prelude Orchestra competed as a Sub Non-Varsity Orchestra and earned a Superior Rating on both their Concert and Sightreading performances, earning a Sweepstakes Award!
๐ถ The Concert Orchestra competed as a Non-Varsity Orchestra and earned Excellent Ratings in both categories!
๐ถ The Symphony Orchestra competed as a Varsity Orchestra and received straight Superior Ratings from every judge, earning a Sweepstakes Award!
๐บA huge congratulations to our Jones Band students, under the direction of Megan Williams and assisted by Preston Beck and Nathan Denman!๐บ
๐ตBoth Jones Concert 1 bands received all Superior Ratings for both their Concert and Sight Reading performances! Additionally, our Top Band will have the exciting opportunity to perform when we return from spring break!
Additionally, our athletes made us proud, with our students winning their first tennis tournament and delivering impressive performances at the track meet and wrestling competition.
As we head into spring break, I hope you take time to relax and recharge. We look forward to welcoming everyone back as we kick off Hope Week!
Enjoy your break. Go Jags! ๐
