DWS Family Calendar

The Daniel Webster Elementary School students and staff, in conjunction with the DWS Belonging Committee and DWS PTO, will celebrate their culture and heritage during the third annual DWS Culture & Heritage Festival on Wednesday, February 11th, from 6 to 7 pm. Please drop by the school to celebrate the diverse customs of the DWS families.

The DWS Culture & Heritage Festival allows our school to experience the many cultures that make our community unique! The goal of this exciting evening is to travel around the world, experiencing new foods, craft making, dancing, music, games, storytelling, foreign languages, and much more!

Participants Needed!

Are you interested in hosting a country table? We encourage you to share your ancestral ties. We all smile in the same language. Help us greet you with your traditional hello. The country hosts are encouraged to get creative and present a cultural experience, including playing a game, making paper lanterns, clothing displays, photo displays, face painting, musical instrument demonstrations, or a tasty treat.

Starting on Wednesday, January 28th, students in grades 3 and 4 will switch to Digital Learning classes with Mrs. Doyle and students in grades 2 and 5 will begin Health classes with Mrs. Madden.

Grade 2 students participated in a science program through Eastern Children's Museum focused on fossils. Students have been studying how fossils tell the story of Earth's changes in the ELA module. This was a chance to bring their learning to life! This program was offered through a grant approved by the Marshfield Education Foundation.

The next PTO meeting will take place on Monday, February 2nd at 7PM in the Library. All parents and guardians are invited to attend.
