September at SPCL!

Do you want to explore our catalog? Book a space? Use the chatbot Mina programmed to help you find a book? Reserve the podcast studio? Use the Makerspace? Was that a yes? You better bookmark the website below because it has ALL of the things you need to access our library!

And just like that, we're back...and basically in the middle of September! Welcome back, Seward Park Campus! I am excited to welcome you back to the library. We have already been busy hosting orientations, tours, training interns, and hosting classes, so let's hit the ground running!

If you're new to the campus, my name is Mina, and I am your librarian! I serve all five schools in the library, so please don't be shy! Come by and say hi!

Welcome to the library! You are welcome to join us before school, during lunch (please eat your lunch upstairs, though), and afterschool. During class hours, be sure to have a pass and sign in at the front desk laptop. If you need more time afterschool, you can head right over to the Seward Park Library which has a special teen section and later hours. It's right across Seward Park at 192 East Broadway.

HOURS:

Mon - Fri - 8:45am - 3:30pm

Now that we don't have phones to access our catalog, make sure you visit our website: www.sewardparkcampuslibrary.org to find the book you're looking for or to browse our collection. Watch the how-to video below!

In an effort to set a good example for our students AND for lots of fun, we have started a Seward Park Campus Staff Book Club. We meet once a month or so. This year, we will be partnering with Design Your Future, a nonprofit company which will help us to raise funds for Spark Studio and Spark Space. Look for special DYF events throughout the year to invite friends and family members to help support our library!

Seward Park Campus Library will be entering its 5th year in partnership with local bookstore, Yu&Me Books! This collaboration allows us to bring amazing authors into our building and build community partnerships and relationships. All events are open to members of Seward Park Campus. That's it for now! But I hope to see you very soon in our library! Meanwhile, give us a follow here for the most recent news! https://www.instagram.com/sparkcampuslibrary/

In our next newsletters, you will MEET THE INTERNS! They are wonderful, and I love them all already. We just couldn't get all of their photos taken, and we realized it was already mid-September because we started school so late this year. This is what we do at Spark Campus Library - we ROLL WITH IT!
