Renville County Clover Update
June 2026

Welcome Annika
Renville County 4-H Intern
Hi! My name is Annika Nosbush and I am the 2026 Renville County 4-H Intern. I grew up on a dairy farm just west of Fairfax and was involved in 4-H for 10 years. I decided to apply for this internship because I missed 4-H and wanted to get involved again!
I will be a senior at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities this fall with a double major in Biology and Speech Language Hearing Sciences. After undergrad, I hope to attend grad school to become a Speech Language Pathologist. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and spending time with my cat Cheese!

Broiler Project Registration Closes June 5th!
The program is to give interested youth the opportunity to learn about agriculture, responsibility for the care of an animal, grow self-confidence, and a chance to make new friends. Our goal is to make this opportunity affordable and available to any interested youth to grow our market project areas, as well as our youths' knowledge in the respective species industries.
Please review the species documents that you are interested in participating in before you complete this form. Once the interest form closes, we will have a meeting to discuss the programs in detail, sign the care agreement contracts and submit the deposits.
*Please note: these deposits will not be refunded if we have received the animals and you decide to back out of the program. As long as all requirements of the program are met, the fee will be put towards the bill at the end.

Minnesota 4-H Plant Science Summer Field Days
We’re excited to offer this day camp experience for youth of all abilities in grades 3+. Whether you’re a budding scientist, a nature explorer, or just love being outdoors, these field days provide the perfect mix of learning, discovery, and fun. Step into real Minnesota fields and farms as you explore how plants grow, identify common pests and weeds, scout for crop health issues, and build your agricultural skills. This isn’t just a workshop—it’s a full day of hands-on activities, games, and outdoor exploration in beautiful settings. Crop scouting teams are encouraged to attend! This is a great way to prepare for the Minnesota 4-H Crop Scouting Challenge later in the month. Registration deadline: June 30. Choose the date and location that works best for you:
Registration is open for the 2026 4-H/FFA youth crop scouting challenge!
Take on the challenge and form a 4-H/FFA crop scouting team! Teams can be made up of youth in grades 6+ from one or multiple counties. Contact your local Extension office if you want help finding a team. If you don't have a team but still want to participate, we have coaches ready to help youth without any other participants in their county. - Repair, restore, remodel or upcycle an item for the home.
- Put together a description, diagrams/photos, samples and cost of a redecorating or remodeling plan.
- Create an item for the home- for appeal or practical use.
- Create something for home organization and functionality (i.e., make a spice rack)
- Design a meditation garden
These are just some of the many ways you can participate in this project.
