Socktober

October means Socktober at Fern Drive! Did you know socks are widely reported by homeless shelters and non-profit organizations to be one of the number one most-requested clothing items that is also the least donated? Student council is collecting new pairs of socks until the end of the month for Pathways of Hope. Help us reach our goal of 500 pairs of socks!

October is Earthquake Preparedness Month ~ Create Your Family Home Plan October is Earthquake Preparedness Month ~ Create Your Family Home Plan

The safety and well-being of every child is our top priority. Just as we practice fire and earthquake drills at school, we encourage every family to have a plan at home in case of an emergency.

A Family Emergency Preparedness Plan helps make sure your children are cared for by an adult you trust if you are ever unexpectedly unable to pick them up or care for them. That could happen because of an illness, El Niño flooding, an accident, or any other emergency.

Three simple steps:

  • Choose a trusted adult who can care for your children if you can't.

  • Download and fill out the free plan in English, Spanish or Korean from the district website: fullertonsd.org – Family Emergency Planning

  • Update your child's emergency contacts with our school office so the adult you chose is on file.

Need help completing your plan? Contact our School Support Advocate (SSA), [SSA Name], at [phone] or [email]. We are happy to sit down with you and go through it together.

Every family in our school community is welcome, and we are here to support you.

School Breakfast & Lunch Menu School Breakfast & Lunch Menu

Lunch and breakfast will continue to be free for all students daily. We still do a lunch count daily so please discuss with your student the importance to take a correct lunch count.

Some students bring a lunch to school and then at lunchtime go get a school lunch. This results in some lunch shortages of the choice meal that day. Lunch options are still available and all children will be fed but often when this happens, the "lunch of the day" runs out. Please review with students the importance of this an accurate lunch count.
