Whether in High End Contests, Glossy magazine shoots, or Super Fun Community Collaborations, BHS Art Students are finishing up the year with a BANG!!! ....for instance....

Congratulations!!!! Mr. Miguel's students took First Place in the Attleboro Arts Museum's annual sculpture contest! Contest juror, Jocelyn Vache, commented on the students' work: You brought me into your world. The execution of the installation and artist statement were spot on. I loved it all. How you pulled off such a coherent piece from a vast team while using so many media was impressive. The humor and seriousness aptly captured our current predicament. I will never look at gummy bears the same again. Brilliant piece!

Huge Glow up for our Senior Fashion Designers with an amazing article in Coastal Lifestyle New England Cape Cod & The Islands Summer Magazine! Massive thanks to great community partners Eric Brust-Akdemir, Joe Navas, Erin Scimeca, and Zavia Walker for creating such a valuable professional experience for our students!

For the 3rd year running a BHS Art student has added to the Sandy Neck Merch options! Check out this gotta have it Snowy Owl Sweat designed by BHS Senior Cha'allesheva Weir! Thanks to epic community partners Donna Bragg and Anne Marie Luppino for their tremendous support!

Student created Tuna were featured prominently at Sandy Neck's new gatehouse ribbon cutting! The Tuna's next stop will be the Barnstable Village 4th of July Parade, where they will be auctioned off by The Barnstable Village Association! Huge thanks to Dave Mason for cutting out those Tuna and making it all possible!!!!

Congrats and Fingers Crossed for crazy psycho talented senior Elliott Brown! He was named finalist in the Stuart Weitzman Heart and Sole Shoe Design Contest! It came with $1,000 scholarship and a chance to win $10,000 at the final later this month! We're pulling for you Elliott!!!

BHS student Kayro Dos Santos had a lovely spot done on him for Channel 5's segment "High 5"! It spotlights Kayro's varied artistic interests and accomplishments and how they guided him on his journey to Harvard next year! Huge thanks to Principal Conetta, Mr. Buckman and great community partner Antionette Antonio for help making the spot happen!

Digital Photography student Wil Surprenant created a joyful, meaningful collaboration with Ms. Fay Smith's Art Integration class and the pictures have us smiling ear to ear!

Mr. Taylor's upper level Ceramics students leveled up their firing skills by Raku Firing their Work!

Ms. Hurter's Cartooning and Animation Classes turned out their first Volume of their Comic work! Long Live Sequential Art!

Wood Tech 1 students Sophia Dangelo, Penelope Grey, and Maci Brown created this beautiful table and pair of Adirondack Chairs for the Bright Promises Preschool in Osterville using the CNC Machine and colored epoxy! Great job!

Congratulations to Enzo Santos, Danielle Ashley and Ben Sylvester who received honors for their graphic design work in the annual Voices of Peace Art and Poetry Contest held by the Cape Cod Veterans for Peace. Enzo received First Honors and his design work was featured on the cover of this year's publication. Danielle received Second Honors and Ben received an Honorable Mention and their work was published in a collage on the back cover!
