State Required Updated Cell Phone Policy
Clinton-Massie High School Cellular Device Policy
Overview:
To support a focused school learning environment, students are expected to store their personal technology devices (cell phones, earbuds, and smartwatches) in their lockers during the entire academic school day. Phones are not permitted in the classrooms or during lunch. Access to devices for health monitoring or approved medical purposes is protected under law and supported by our nursing staff. Emergency phone access or parent contact support can be achieved by contacting the high school office.
Implementation Timeline
August 14th to August 22nd (First 7 days of school): Teachers will provide verbal warnings and reminders as students adjust to the new policy. No formal consequences will be issued during this grace period. If a student violates this policy, they will be asked to put their devices in their lockers.

The device is confiscated and held by the teacher until the end of the day.

Third refusal - Five days out of school suspension
Fourth - Ten days out of school suspension and recommendation for further disciplinary action.
